My Amazing Experience In a Stress Relieving Session At Ecosmob

I didn’t want to make the title too fancy this time because the topic, I wanna cover is as simple as you can think of. It is simply what I felt and want to share about my experience on last Saturday.

Our management had arranged a session on the topic of, “Stress Management – Thru Alfa – Powerful 7 min take away exercise”. I am an enthusiastic person and I always enjoy learning and experiencing new things so I was pretty excited. Once our HR given a node to get into the conference area, I was the first one to reserve the seat 🙂 Now, instead of getting into the minute level detail of my experience, let me get into the highlights, which might be of your interest. 🙂

The domain expert, Mr. Manish Thaker, is a really an expert with a great sense of humor and amazing energy. His energy and sense of humor had kept the session lively. I really liked the way he made the session interesting by sharing some humorous yet educating stories. The thing, he was trying to convey was, “Stress is internal, not external. Also, it is not a wealth which we should manage. It is something we should cope up with.” So true! We all must be knowing this, but sometimes, it is like we know it, but we don’t know it. 🙂 I wouldn’t share everything he said and talk as I would like you to call him to your organization and experience it on your own as I felt, he deserves it and you too. 🙂

He takes us to different rides, with 4 different segments. I would talk about the one, which I loved experiencing. 🙂 That segment was about, “Efforts to Effortlessness”. I loved the effortlessness part of it. So I will talk about it. After some hefty efforts of jumping, he asked us to sit down, in a relaxing position and close our eyes. Then, one by one he kept giving us instructions, which I tried to follow obediently. I felt it was a kind of regression process. He called it to get into an Alpha stage, which we used to be in, when we are in just before we fall asleep and just after we woke up from a sleep. I had an amazing, soothing experience, which made me calm, I felt.

Waterfall

Waterfall

What I saw is, I was wearing a plain white dress. My translucent dupatta was waving in the soothing fresh breeze. My hair was bothering my face, but I was enjoying it. 🙂 I found myself standing on a shore of a waterfall, a huge – very huge waterfall, in a dense forest. (While the fact is I love the ocean and the beach, not forest or waterfalls). This I felt even before Manish (Instructor) asked us to imagine or feel about. I could feel the grass, which he asked us to feel. I could hear the clatter of flowing water.

After some time, I saw myself lying on the lush green grass under an open blue sky with a few scattered white clouds. The cool yet naughty wind was kissing my forehead. I was smiling with closed eyes. 🙂 It was wow! Then, I felt like everything is moving, I felt like I am on a yacht and it is moving on oceans. Then, it started moving so fast that, for a time, I felt like maybe I am in a helicopter flying above the oceans as I could see bottle blue ocean water downside.

In the last stage of this regression/alpha process, I felt a warmth of a hug, we get from a dear one. I was standing on a yacht with closed eyes, feeling calm, and I loved the worry free smile I had on my face. I was just loving it, seeing myself like that, smiling one. In fact, I could feel I was smiling in reality by seeing me smiling in my imagination. 🙂 Then, Manish – Instructor, asked us to slowly open our eyes. I was enjoying so much, honestly, I just didn’t want to open my eyes. I wanted to stay there some more. I wanted to feel that worry free warmth some more. But, as I was conscious and unfortunately, I was sitting in the first row, I had to open my eyes with a thought everyone else might have already opened theirs. And we need to move to the next part of the session, too. And that happened, too.

The session moved to the next part. In the end, as per my habit, I asked too many questions I guess. 🙂 I hope people were not cursing me for taking their time and had enjoyed the QA session. In fact, it leads the instructor to take a small session, which was out of syllabus on, “Relationship between a man and a woman” 🙂

Then, the session concluded. Unlike others, I had a chatter with the Manish even after the session and I must say, he is a nice gentleman 🙂

Then I headed towards my home as it was Saturday. I found, a refreshed me after that session. However, I had to deal with some stress on the way to home. But, that’s fine, as I have accepted the fact that it is me who is causing stress to myself and not the stress itself, who is bothering me for quite a some time. 🙂

There are so many other things I wanna share based on the session and learning, but the length of the Blog gone too much. So I am skipping it. But, one thing I must share. A few people said they felt nothing or they felt unease. I think this is an amazing experience and to experience it you have to have patience, imagination power and obedient mind to follow the instructions, which were not so difficult to go with. 🙂 Honestly, my liking, my dressing style, etc. is quite different than what I saw in the “Alpha state”. So I was not forcing myself to see that. It was naturally happening. And believe me it was amazing. It still makes me smile when I recall it. So I suggest next time you attend any such session, just lose yourself and follow the instructor to feel the wonderful things!

We Bowled It Out!!

We, Ecosmobians, love to grab the windows of fun in between our busy lives. Thus, on alternate Saturdays we have some fun events organized by our management. This Saturday, we had double fun. One was the Chess tournament and another was fun game related to cricket. Let’s have a look at each in brief.

YES Bank IPL At Ecosmob

YES Bank IPL At Ecosmob

The first event of the Saturday was a game on the theme of the cricket. The game was brought up by the “YES Bank” executives, called, YES BANK-MAXIMUM: IPL. They had set up a pitch. The game was relevant to bowling. One need to throw a ball, which must be bounced and hit the stumps. If the ball bounces on the banner of “YES Bank” on the pitch, then the player gets the 6 points. If it bounces on any other part of the pitch, then the player gets 4 points. In any other case, zero points. The customized mugs were the prizes for the winners. Dhruten and Vivek, Software Engineers won the prizes in the male category. While in the female category, Hardi, Jr. SEO, bowled the YES bank stumps. 🙂 What I did? Well, I enjoyed myself! Of curse, I bowled it out, but not stumps, something else. What? Guess.. I am sure your guesses were wrong, so, lemme tell you, I bowled out the stress 😀

Chess

Chess

After completion of the IPL, the chess tournament had started and the Ecosmobians were playing the first round of it. Top 16 will made it to the next round. It’s seriously fun to use brains in something else than the regular work. 😀 It was an amazing sight when I stepped out of my cabin and saw, on almost all systems, the chess board was opened. All were engrossed in their matches. Seriously, they were having some serious fun, I guess! 🙂

Check complete album here

Well, this is it for the last Saturday yet much more to come in the upcoming Saturdays. You just stay tuned with me and I am gonna give you the insights. Bye for now!

New Fun Happenings At Ecosmob On Weekend

We, Ecosmobians, believe in working hard and playing hard, too. We generally have different rejuvenating events on weekends and the activities on a daily basis to maintain the work life balance. Of course, we have the play area where any Ecosmobian can go anytime and have some relaxation. But, our management thrives to give us some more revitalization. So what’s going on currently at fun part?

Well, Chess tournament league has started again and participant Ecosmobians are  divided into four different teams. The practice matches, along with the strategy making for the victory is now part of the daily life for the participant Ecosmobians. In a very short time, final matches will be started and I am excited to see those good moves (neah not dance moves, the chess moves) of the players.

Stress Reliving Session

Stress Reliving Session

Also, last weekend our management had invited an industry expert Mr. Manish Thaker to take a session on stress management. He is in this field since 2013 and have taken sessions on different soft skill topics. At Ecosmob, he has delivered session on the topic, “Stress Management – Thru Alfa – Powerful 7 min take away exercise.”. During his session, he shared many different analogies and stories to explain how stress evolves and people make a big thing out of nothing! He also shared how stress is passed from one to another and make it viral in nearby circle. Really nicely he shared a few very easy to practice habits in day to day life to relive the stress we are dealing with in our daily lives. He also taught a few meditation steps and some cool exercises. He is really good with his sense of humor which kept the session lively. Ecosmobians had a really good time and moreover, now we have the tools to deal with the stress in an effective way.

So this is it for now! I will come back again with some more insights of Ecosmob and the happenings over here. You stay tuned with me at the same place!

The Fun Begins…

Here, the Fun begins…

As we are all set in our new office premises now, management has decided to start the fun activities and events every working Saturdays. I am used to listen about the EcoWings from my team members which was the same type of event, held on every working Saturdays where some of the Ecosmobians came with different activities every time and make others play.

Last Saturday, we had 3 events in our box 😉
1. Eye Check Up Camp
2. GoodBye to an Ecosmobian – Paresh Gehlot (Sabke Favourite one)
3. Talent Star Competition (Exciting one, as I had participated in that 😉 )

It was 10 am and we were waiting to start the first event, Eye Checkup! We were deciding the sequence by our own, who gonna go first for the eye checkup 😀 But, the Talent Star competition had started first near by 10.30 am, I guess. Deepak Sir was hosting the show. We had already given the entries so there were 5 chits with 5 participant’s names in a Bowl. One was supposed to show his/her talent in front of other Ecosmobians within 10 Minutes, but one could ask for more time if they want 🙂 And guess what…? Audience were the judges for this event.

Saturday Event

Saturday Event

Sequence decided by picking up the chits from the bowl and one was the surprise entry of Khushal bhai in the event 😉 I and Priyanka was in the Drawing category, so we started making sketch. She drew a beautiful drawing of ‘Ma Durga’ and I did pen-sketching of books with the cartoony look as it was ‘World Book Day’ on that day. Deepak sir shown his extra-ordinary talent of commentary in the dubbing kind of voice. His act was full of entertainment, really 🙂 Jay presented the scene of the story of ‘Mahadev and Sati’, which was stupendous. And Khushal Bhai shown the magic of playing cards and also exhibit his hidden talent of spinning a plate in his magical fingers 😉 Voting time started. All voted for their favourite talent. Jay was the winner and awarded with the Trophy by our Director, Ruchir Sir.

2nd was a small farewell to Paresh bhai from the family ECOSMOB. He shared some of the best memories and thanked Ecosmob for providing him the stage to grow up and enhance his personality and knowledge, too. Ruchir sir wished him best for his future. In the form of Good Wishes, a Momento was gifted to him from Ecosmob.

3rd was the Eye Check up camp. Our health is always valuable for Ecosmob so there was a free eye check up camp. Two representatives came to our company premises with their eye checking instruments. I was thinking k badha ne ±0.5 power or ±0.25 power number to hoy j 😉 but I have read every letter clearly with the different lenses and they said, mane number j nathii – its 0 power 🙂 so I got to know k aavu na hoy k by default number hoy j 😀 Every Ecosmobian took the benefit for the same.

It was full of zeal and zest. With rejuvenation and refresh mind, Ecosmobian departed and the event has ended. Now, excitingly waiting for the next Saturday 😉

EcoFest Final Grand Celebration with One Day Picnic

Likewise, each year we had a grand celebration on the final event of EcoFest, chain of celebrations of our annual anniversary. We went for a one day picnic at a nearby resort. The journey started in the morning from our Ecosmob’s headquarter. Let me take you to the whole journey with me. 😉

As per my habit I came earlier than the time. In some time, a few more Ecosmobians with their family came. We went for a superb ginger tea. We spent some time in knowing the spouses and kids of the fellow Ecosmobians. Meanwhile, all Ecosmobians joined the cohort with their family. Thus, we started the journey in the hired bus. As per tradition, we played dumb charade on the way. It was hilarious.

We reached the venue and we explored the resort. A few Ecosmobians started taking snaps, a few started playing. Whilst a few started chatting and relaxing. After some time, our EcoFest started. We played 3 different games. Trust me, it was great fun playing each. We all loved it and we all had full toss in 2/3 games. 🙂 We laughed till our stomach hurts. After the games, Ecosmobians were hungry enough to finish all the food. So we proceeded to the lunch. Then we had enough leisure time. Again, a few started chatting, a few started playing and taking snaps. The majority sat in the mini theater and grabbed the opportunity to relax and watching the movie. We watched 3 idiots .;) A few jumped into the swimming pool and had fun time. 😀

After ample leisure, it was time for the high tea and the award function. The Ecosmobians were getting awards one by one; giving speeches, showing gratitude; the supervisors were appreciating the work of the team members; and fellow members were clapping and cheering the award earners and winners. The EcoFest winning team was the “Arishtanemi Warriors”. The digital marketing team bagged two awards; “Gem performer of two quarters and Marketing person of the year”. I had the moment of proud watching, Hiten Dudhatra, my team member earning an award for his extraordinary performance for 2 quarters.  Of course, I am happy for each Ecosmobians, who won or earned an award, but as I have been the close part of the success journey of Hiten. It was something made me really happier and prouder, even more than my own award. 🙂 Yeah, I earned one award, too. 🙂

Ecosmob Team

Ecosmob Team

After the award function, we had a group photo with a few fun comments and settled in the bus. The Ecosmobians were talking with each other and having fun time. I was occupied by a newly made friend, daughter of a colleague. We played lots of interesting games, giggled a lot and she told me a brand new and an upgraded version of my childhood story of a monkey and crocodile. Meet me to hear it, believe me, it’s a fun story with an excellent moral.

We reached the place where we had started. We dispersed and moved towards our respective homes. However, we were not empty handed as we were in the morning. We collected so many memories to cherish for lifetime! 🙂 Got a smile on the face, nah! I am having one, too. 🙂

Pictures of the event will be published soon on our social media. Keep following us.

EcoFest 6: Lyrics Writing, Singing and Playing Fun Games

EcoFest 6

EcoFest 6

EcoFest 6 was conducted last Saturday. The event was full of zeal and zest, and of course, some more creativity as an added flavor. Coincidentally, it was my birthday. So the event started on a very special note for me as everyone sang “Happy Birthday” jingle for me. It was really nice to receive such warm birthday wishes. Thank you Ecosmobians. A special thanks to the host of the event, Surendra, who asked everyone to sing it for me. Then the announcement of the first game was made. It was related to what our host asked everyone to do in the commencement, singing a jingle. As part of the event, we were supposed to write a “Brand new” song lyrics. We were supposed to sing it in chorus with the whole team. And we were supposed to do it in the given time-frame only.

All started preparing for their songs. In our team, 95% of the given time limit, we only wrote lyrics. 😀 In remaining 5% we rehearsed it. In fact, we started rehearsing when we got an alert alarm from one of the event manager that you will be on the stage in 5 mins as we were the first to perform. It is same as an exam, for the whole 2 hrs and 50 mins you stare at the question paper and when the exam supervisor announce, you have 10 minutes to go and the answers start popping up and you start writing with the bullet speed. LOLz. Everyone’s performance was nice. The lyrics were unique in each team. However, each team copied the tune. 😀

The next game was quite interesting. There were two parts in the game, each with 15 points. Each member needs to put the 4 pencils on his hand, toss it in the air and catch it. All four pencils must get caught. Once the pencils are caught, the team member moved to the next stage, where he/she has to arrange the cards in a particular order. I couldn’t make it in the first round of caching the pencils. But, never mind, win and loss is part of the game. 🙂 The important thing is to have fun, which we all had. 🙂

Overall the event was fun. And now, we all are waiting for the grand event with too much zeal and zest. It’s gonna be on the upcoming Saturday. We are super excited because, like every year, our management has built up a great surprise. 🙂

Have a glimpse of last event here: https://plus.google.com/photos/+Ecosmob/albums/6206180800000243201

EcoFest 4: Drawing Artist and Blind Follower

EcoFest is a fun season for all Ecosmobians. The event organizers used to come up with interesting ideas and mind boggling games which spread joy and laughter all over. This time we had 2 different segments: One was a competition and the other was a game.

The event started with an artistic bout, “Drawing Competition”. We were supposed to create a painting, which passes some message. It might sound easy, but believe me, it is not. The time limit was very tight. We need to decide the topic, message, make a drawing, feel colors; and all of these need to be done within one and half hour. Even thinking on the idea and finalizing one may take a lot of time. Luckily or I would say with team unity, we all agreed of an idea of creating a canvas painting of a recent tragic accident happened to a 3 year old boy, Aylan Kurdi from Syria. So idea finalization didn’t take much time. We divided our team in 2 parts. One team started working on drawing the painting with colors of true feelings. The other team started studying the facts related to the accident as we thought we need to present the painting with the message in front of the jury. By that image, we wanted to convey a very simple message “Being Human”. If the government of another country, which rejected the visa of that boy’s family hadn’t rejected it! If that smuggler who was immigrating them illegally hadn’t done that cheating with them! If the civil war in Syria never commenced! That tragic accident hadn’t happened to Aylan and all other innocent people like him. 😥 Why can’t we all be normal humans and live peacefully?

After one and half hour all the teams submitted their arts. Each were really beautiful and effectively passing the message. The different images had different messages like, “Save girl child”, “Stop Child Abuse”, “Women Empowerment”, “All religions are same”, “Child labor” and “Being Human”. It was a tough job to select a winner for sure 🙂

aylan

After the drawing competition, we played a fun game. A teammate guides another blind folded team member through a maze. I always love games with a blindfold because people used to make hilarious mistakes and moves. It was really zealous game. I lost the game at the finishing line. Uff! But, it was great fun being a part of it and being an obedient listened of the guide.

The event ended with that game and we dispersed. We are all eagerly waiting for the next event 🙂 You too?
